This book astutely represents the very cruel nature of the society that we lived in. How humans have evolved to greed for the exquisite pleasures driven by non concious/concious and impulsive actions.
challenging emotional reflective fast-paced

not sure how I missed this one as a kid, but I love reading it to my kid(s) over and over again. Because of this book, my 3 year old has a more coherent understanding of the extractive nature of a profit-first economic system and its inevitable consequences on a finite planet than most American evangelicals.

I ought to make a bookshelf of great children's books that teach basic yet "radical" concepts that they'll need to navigate our ever increasingly smogulous, schloppity world.

A favourite that we come back to all the time. The perfect amount of writing and colourful pictures to hold a kiddos attention.
