Doesn't displace Bear Snores On as my favorite, but this is pretty good, too.

This is a fun book to read with little ones, because they can 'help' read the book during the "bear wants MORE!" parts.

Yes I typically read books on sociology and economics. But a week with my nephew meant five nights in a row of reading this book.

He loves it. Nice rhyming and illustration. And the other books in this series which he also read to me: stellar.

In 2020 more serious reviews will come. But this week it's fitting to write about this hungry bear.

Brief summary - Bear wakes up and is hungry and each of his friends help him find something to eat until he can't even fit back into his own cave. Then all of his friends want more
Annotation - This story is a great read aloud with each animal who finds bear and really wants to find him something to eat since he is so hungry.
Age appropriateness 0-7
Connection to six early literacy skills
This is great for many different literacy skills but I like it for narrative skill because it builds up each time with each animal finding him a something yummy to eat.
Five practices
Great book for reading since it really entices the reader to want to know what is going to happen next.
Opinion - I like this book so much because it has an easy reading style that is enhanced by great illustrations. The story really tells about friendship and kindness.
