2.5 Stars - Little Monsters read VERY much like the YA novel that it is. The characters were superficial and unreliable (for example, we get snippets of Kacey's "wild child" back story while living with her mother, but we never really get to see any part of that side of Kacey in the current storyline, so it feels almost irrelevant). The plot moves SO slowly for 7/8 of the book, and then the explanation of whodunnit at the end felt rushed and not fully developed. This book is probably best suited for teens with minimal expectations who are looking for a quick and mindless read.

I’m a sucker for anytime a book says that it’s like the PLL serious. This drew me in from the first chapter and held on until the ending. Kara Thomas has a way of writing true crime stories that just draw you in as you were experiencing and going through it first hand!

This is my first physiological thriller book and let me just start off by saying IT WAS SO SCARY. I had no idea it was this genre until the murder came up and I had questions. It was so mysterious I had no idea who did what at first I suspected one person the next chapter another person until I wasn't so sure who to trust and who to not. It was all so suspicious and I REALLY LOVED THAT about it.. although it may give me nightmares lol 😂 it was certainly a thriller and certainly verrryyyy scary to give you chills well it gave me chills and I would go into it without knowing anything if you really want to be transported into the story.

The mystery and plot was pretty interesting but I feel like the ending left me unsatisfied. I liked that throughout the book I was convinced of whoever the author was trying to throw suspicion on but the actual killer(s) left me dissatisfied, especially since the 'WHY' was not fully explained.

I’m glad I finally read this book! This book grabs you by the hand and takes for a gosh darn ride all the way through the whole thing! I wasn’t excepting anything that happened! The characters all make you think twice about them! The story is just insane and creepy! Sent chills through my body every time the red women was brought up! This wasn’t like anything I’ve ever read before! This is a must read!

This book is INCREDIBLE!!!! I absolutely adored it and the plot line is very deep, which always makes a good book. The plot twist at the end, wow, just-wow.
