This was an enjoyable introduction to three characters i'd really like to read more about. We follow three women all in different time periods all connected by a standing stone. Firstly there's Rachel who lives in a time similar to our own. She has moved to Wales recently and is trying to make a life for herself and her husband. Secondly there's Candy, who seems to be in a future earth, or earth-like planet. This is the character i was most interested in simple to find out more about her world. Thirdly there's Fern who lives in the very past earth in a village which has recently had some foreign visitors and everyone is trying to figure out how they should move forward.
I really enjoyed finding out about these three women and how they were all drawn towards the standing stone. I could not have predicted what would happen at the end of the book and to be honest it's not something i know a lot about so it did throw me a little bit. I'm glad to see that there are more books in this series and i hope to start one of the longer books soon.
