This was really sweet but I just expected a bit more from it. It reminded me of Wildwood but with more fairy tale vibes!!

This was such a lovely book. It felt like an old-fashioned fairy tale with all the atmosphere and the comfort you could ask for. I really appreciated that Emily Winfield Martin knew the kind of story she wanted to write and wrote it crisply and succinctly down to the last word.

The story and the writing was warm and inviting. Detailed, but also very simple and straight-forward. It's been a while since I've enjoyed a book from start to finish, but I really have no complaints about Snow & Rose. It's definitely built for a younger audience, but that didn't keep me from enjoying it at all. Since I read this on the Kindle I felt like I didn't completely appreciate the illustrations, but they were a lovely, rich touch to what was overall a wonderful book.

Such a cute, whimsical tale of two sisters and all the magic that happens in their woods. All the little tidbits of fairy tales woven in and such a great ending! This was a really cute, heartwarming read.

3 // Adorable story and illustrations. It did feel a bit empty at times in the sense that I felt there was opportunity for something more, but nonetheless a cute christmas read.

Like a fairytale my parents would have read to me as a child. I loved this story that intertwined the emotional journey through sorrow and grief with an enchanted forest, fun characters, and even a magical library where people can borrow items rather than books. It’s cozy and has a bit of mystery that keeps the story moving. I’d recommend reading this in fall or winter, since it has great descriptions of those seasons. If you’re looking for a magical tale for Middle Grade readers, I highly recommend this one.

I absolutely adored this book! It was perfectly whimsical and enchanting and something I would have adored when I was little and still love now. I loved Snow and Rose and how distinct their personalities are. I definitely would have related to Rose as a kid and still do now. I also loved how it read like an old fairytale. It was just the kind of book I needed to read at the moment.

Also the art was absolutely gorgeous and I loved the edition of it to the book. The author is very talented!

I read this book until the end but didn't think the book was well-written. The end was satisfying but I didn't enjoy the story. I looked up the Grimm fairy tale on which this book was based and I see now that Snow & Rose is really just a long retelling with a few changes.
