I read a sneak peek of this story in the anthology [b:Wicked Souls|49008322|Wicked Souls|Rebecca Royce|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1575023431l/49008322._SY75_.jpg|74428010]. The following is a slight edit my original 2-star review there:

The second-born princess FMC Baera was kidnapped by the Dragonlord Mystrel, and a few of her father's knights departed on a rescue mission to get her back home.

The original setting setup started out great, but it went downhill after the men involved were introduced in detail. I didn't understand how
Spoilerthe knight Sir Voryn
had any more of a claim on the princess than
Spoilerhis senior Sir Derene
when they were all unrequited love interests anyways. The contrived jealousy and anger between the compatriots made no sense. And then the princess just abruptedly
Spoileraccepted all of them in her dream to bond with
hours after her kidnapping. I didn't even realize that the princess already knew the Dragonlord's name either, when she hadn't mentioned it in the earlier POV chapter before her dream.

The story then ended abruptedly after the dream scene, which was rather unsatisfying. I am not interested in reading the full release.
