It is one of the first dark fantasy novels!

Start with a backyard child. Hard world. No one wants him. Father has too give up his claim to the throne. The child is only seven! What more could happen?

I absolutely loved this novel, and when I heard it was being made into a graphic novel my gasp could be heard around the world

Love the original book and some graphic novels but this adaptation didn't work for me. Maybe it is because the original book relies so much on inner dialogue which is hard to translate to a graphic novel.

The story is still great, but I find it hard to distinguish between people as most of them look very much alike.

Up front: I am not a huge fan of graphic novels, but I continue to try them out. I love the novels this is based on and my main objective is to find out if my son might enjoy them.
