As a test to see if I still loved the world/characters/writing, I really enjoyed and treasure this version.

Oh, this is such a great graphic novel adaptation! I don't always think the adaptations get things right, but this one did. Of course, things moved faster in this version, due to page constraints, but they did a great job of keeping in all the important bits. The art was wonderful and it was a quick read (granted, I say that as someone who's read the original multiple times). I hope the other novels get adapted as well but even if not, I'm glad this exists.

When I first read the book I was confused by what was going on but this graphic novel helped shed some light. It was good and I hope they make the rest of the series into graphic novels

i loved the beginning of this, it was really capturing the heart of the novel at first, and it was a fun, exciting way to revisit the story and characters without diving headfirst into another reread (only a year after my last reread hehe). the art was gorgeous, and captured the characters and the emotions so well; there's a particular panel early on with a map that I'm still thinking about, honestly....
however, after part one it just started to feel a little too rushed, and the development of the romance in particular didn't feel strong enough :/ I wish it had been a bit longer so as to give the story the time it needed to unfold more gracefully
