Přemýšlím, jeslti ot bylo lepší než jednička. Ano i ne. Ale trvalo to, než se to rozjelo. A ten konec? To nefunogvalo. Alespoň na mě ne.

There is nothing really bad about this book, but it's written in a simple language. An easy read, catering to 10-15 year olds. It's not the big things, but a lot of little things that makes it rather boring and unsatisfying to a more mature reader.
I won't bother with a longer review, but the one word that comes to mind is "childish"; with that I'm referring to everything about the book - the plot, subplots, characters, villains, language use.

I wouldn't have finished this book if I didn't have some long night watches, but it was useful to help practicing my speed-reading. I can't recommend it to anyone, but kids looking for a "first" book to read.

I enjoyed reading this book but it was not as good as the first book in this series. The pacing was very slow, especially in the first half of the book. It did not grasp my attention nor made me very curious about what would happen next. During the second half of the book the pacing did pick up a bit and more things happened. I did enjoy it and maybe my expectation was just too high. I will read the next book in this series because I am curious what will happen in the next book. This whole book though was literally about the war of the dwarves. I guess the title gave it away.
