This was a great adventure. Read this with my 6-year-old and we both enjoyed it.

This was vastly different from the film (a childhood favorite of mine), but that didn’t take away from the story, and in many ways it was better.

I've read much better books lately. It was a pleasant read but not exceptional.

is this book for children, while I’m 25? yes, and I loved it lol

my boyfriend (who doesn’t read much) told me this was one of the only books in elementary school that held his attention. so when I found it at goodwill, I obviously bought it! and I’m glad I did.

I love the premise of this story and found it to be very charming and adventurous. The plot was entertaining, the characters were lovable, and the world-building was terrific. This is a highly recommended read for any child who loves suspense and adventure and for those who love anthropomorphic animals. It’s a sweet story of friendship, courage, love, and adventure that anyone will enjoy.

Very interesting story.

Mrs. Frisby's youngest son is very sick and moving day is approaching when the farmer plows the field but it she moves Timothy he could die.  She is told to ask the rats for help in relocating her home to a place safe from the plow.
This is a good story but the movie just made it more interesting.  I'm glad I read the source material though, it casts a different light on certain situations and characters than the movie did.
