Kind of slow, scenes jumped around abruptly in time and location. It seemed deliberately unclear and confusing; purposefully mysterious and inscrutable.

There is enough here to interest me as the first in a trilogy: the dead letter office, the father in prison who the mother gives up on; it definitely doesn't wrap up neat enough to stand on its own. I found the color scheme kind of sickly, even though I liked the colored-pencil style.
