Since this is one of Micaela's favorite books I had to give it a try. Two orphan girls named Sabrina and Daphne Grimm (yes, descended from the Brothers Grimm) are taken in by a grandmother that they thought was dead. When Relda Grimm is captured by a giant, they seek help from the looking glass, Dorothy's ruby slippers, Jack (from Jack and the Beanstalk), Prince Charming, Excalibur, and Puck to rescue her.

I'm working my way through a nostalgia kick and this was soooo fun to revisit. Definitely going to be making my way through the rest of the series.

This will be the same review for the next several books in the series since I am listening to them all back to back.
4.25 stars.
This is like A Series of Unfortunate Events meets Once Upon a Time. Humans and 'Everafters' aka fairytale characters live side by side but the characters don't age while humans do. The Sisters are descendants of the Grimm Brothers. The whole premise of Grimm Brothers stories being documentation rather than fairytales made up is fantastic.
