I adore this book. One of my all-time favorites. I have read it over and over again and each time I tear through it. Piper and Betty and Jim and Margie and Hank and the Matsuis and everyone else are such loveable, real characters. This story just feels so true to the time period and how teenage girls would actually experience it. I cried at the end and in the middle and, ugh, I just love it so much. So wholesome and sad and I just ADORE it.
Graphic: Racial slurs, Racism, and Xenophobia
Moderate: War
