Once again I am moved to tears by Abby Jimenez. She knows how to write characters that are relatable and fun to read. I would recommend her novels to anyone who enjoys reading fiction but also likes to find connections with the characters on more personal levels.

Dr. Brianna Ortiz's life is currently at a low point with her divorce being finalized, her brother needing a kidney donner, and wanting the promotion at work that is probably going to the new dr.

Dr. Jacob Maddox has social anxiety and dealing with some troubles of his own, like his brother and ex girlfriend getting married.

The chemistry between Brianna and Jacob is noticeable from the start, even if it is a rough one. The letters they write back and forth are precious and are a beautiful start to their budding relationship.

Loved it so much I finished in one setting and got no sleep. One of those so you’ve been warned! I love everything Jimenez writes and I might be a little biased, but I love the MN references she infuses into her stories. This one was personal for her and you’ll see why, but it made it even more impactful knowing there was a personal tie. She can truly write the hell out of her characters and although some of the tropes she writes have been done many times before, she finds a way to make her stories interesting, funny as hell and surprisingly full of depth. ❤️❤️ she can do no wrong for me and I lovedddddd Briana and Jacob’s story!!!

Fave parts: the family chaos, the grandpa’s wheelchair ramming cigarette requests, the raccoon taxidermy part and the letter writing back and forth banter was SO good
