It is beautiful Mr. Hatke...that's all I have to say.
The sequel to Julia's House for Lost Creatures, this adorable picture book fantasy sends a simple message about the importance of community, flexibility, and accepting help from others. Julia's walking house has decided that it is time to move on but that's okay because Julia has a plan for that. What will happen to Julia's belongings? Julia has a plan for that. What about the lost creatures that live with her? Julia has a plan for that too. But when Julia's plans don't work out as she had expected, she needs to find the courage to accept help from unexpected places. Hatke's text is gentle and sweet and pairs perfectly with his vibrant, entrancing watercolor illustrations. Perfect for lessons on community and flexibility. Recommended for K-5.
Such joy to hear Ben Hatke read this sequel aloud, live.... it just doesn’t get any better.
My daughter seemed to enjoy this one as much as I did. :)

Another great kids book form Hatke! There's something so whimsical and comic-y about his artwork, and I love it. His characters are memorable and fun and always put into fantastical stories, which I love also. A great sequel to Julia's House for Lost Creatures.

Absolutely lovely. The message of if your plan fails, you just make a new plan instead of stressing out, is as important for adults as it is for children.
Hatke's art gives me life. This story was super cute fluff to bring a smile on your face.
This was cute. Julia makes plans to move her house with all its creature inhabitants, but then things go awry! Every time Julia makes new plans, something else gets in the way, till Julia relaxes, and things come together.
