The best book in the series. A lot of fun and the world gets fully fleshed out. I think the contained nature of the story is nice but I wish for the length it dealt with more of the world it introduced.

Best book of the series but because the second book put me in the biggest reading slump I overall am not recommending the series

A perfect conclusion to this fantastic fantasy trilogy. I thoroughly enjoyed the first two novels, but to be honest, the second one ended with everything in such a mess I had no idea how Nahri and Ali were going to pull it all off. I got so wrapped up I stayed up reading until 2am -- on a school night!! -- just to finish the book. I haven't done that in a long time, so kudos to Chakraborty.

The whole world was really fleshed out in this book. I loved learning more about the Mysterious underwater world of the marid (Sobek and Tiamat were such awesomely terrifying characters to introduce in the final installment!)and the secrets of the Nahri's family history.

Dara's story arc made me sob. Ever since that kiss in the cave in the first novel, I have been waiting for more from him. His role in all of this just broke my heart...in the best possible way.

I would absolutely recommend this trilogy to any and all fans of magic and fantasy fiction. It swept me up into an entirely new and beautifully-crafted world and I loved every minute of it.
