Do you know what you shouldn't do when your story is hokey and drawn out? Try and remedy it with art that's barely sequential (the big fight in issue 4 is an embarrassment to the medium) and also kind of... bad. It's just a very weak effort on all fronts and it's a shame because there are glimmers of fun here and there, as you'd expect from the premise. Also, the colors and overall style don't fit the story too well, a plot this outlandish deserved a cartoony flair, something to make it less grounded visually.
