I love encouraging kids to read! This would be especially fun for kids that like a concrete set of directions to find their way to establishing their own reading habits or if they have a flair for dramatic reenactments. I liked the format of listing suggestions as steps for approachability.
However, the book felt overly prescriptive to me. To the point of unnecessary exclusion. What if a kid doesn’t know where to get books? What types of books could they read beyond fantasy? What about reading alone? What if they don’t have access to blankets or shade? Instead of making these options seem like the only ones, I would suggest the inclusion of different language structure to present them as instructions instead of requirements.

For: readers looking for an easy to follow step-by-step for best practices for reading.
Possible red flags: some readers may find too bland and straightforward.
