A wonderful setting for an Australian story - something different from the usual outback, but equally as interesting. An isolated community created from a drowned town.
The novel is really all about relationships, their complications, how they change and how they grow. The characters are well developed with distinct individual stories. The interactions are genuine, with some great honest scenes.
It is a quiet, thoughtful story. Can be a little slow in places but still I finished with a feeling of satisfaction for a tale well told
