Once again, Christian Robinson’s lush illustrations knock it out of the park. He always is so inclusive with respect to race & ability. The muted watercolors he used here are in perfect harmony with the Duchess’ words. As I read, I could see her peering out the window, gazing at her husband and son, heart exploding with love -- and then Robinson showed us just such an illustration near the end of the book. This is an excellent book to gift to new fathers.

A ta jedna hvězdička je ilustrátorovi, protože ty jsou nádherné...
Doteď si pamatuju knížky z dětství a můžu říct, že tohle není dětská knížka. Kdyby to Meghan prodávala jako knihu pro tatínky (a neorientovala se jen na syna, ale i dcery), tak by to byla dobrá kniha. Protože o tom ta kniha je - o tatínkovi.
Ačkoliv jsem řekla, že ilustrace jsou nádherné, a oni opravdu jsou, je nutné říct, že to nejsou úplně dětské ilustrace - jako dítě jsem milovala (a moje neteře a synovci taktéž) ilustrace plné detailů a sytých barev. A to tyto úplně nenabízí...

This story is beautiful, and the illustration is so sweet. An obvious love story to her baby and Prince Harry. So beautiful in how short it is. I loved it. I’ll definitely buy it for a friend.

I don't usually go for picture books, but I caught wind of the frankly ridiculous hate campaign against this one and thought I'd check it out, and honestly? This is a perfectly fine childern's book. The message is good, the illustrations are adorable, and the text is very easy for children to understand.
Do feel free to dismiss any "review" that starts and ends with character assasination of the duchess.
