*I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own*

This is such an interesting title and I like how the vampire lore works here. I do wish depression, anxiety, and stress were talked about more instead of ignored since he wants to be a vampire in order to not deal with it all. But, I chuckled while reading this and I'm interested to see where it will go.

Art was fine, but found the plot to be slow and boring.

In the first manga of the series "Call of The Night," we are introduced to Ko and Nazuna. Nazuna is a vampire, and Ko is a 14-year-old human boy who suffers from insomnia. I really admire the way these characters are introduced to us. I especially love the drawing style of Nazuna in this manga. The short and snappy chapters, as well as the emotional panels, make the manga truly engaging. Some parts even make me laugh out loud.

5/5 stars for me

I received an eARC courtesy of VIZ Media via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

It's not that this is bad by any means. In fact, it is a decent starter to a series. But that is all it really is- a start. There simply is not enough here to fully judge. Perhaps after volume 2 I will have a better idea about how I feel about this one. I suppose that all-in-all it isn't so bad that I wouldn't give the next one a shot.

I thought the plot was written well, but I wasn't a fan of the vampire pursuing a 14 year old boy. I probably won't continue.
