Heartwrenching and compelling. The worldbuilding of Mkalis is as vivid and engrossing as ever and continues to feature characters that make you feel all the things. A bit like Borderkeeper, I wanted to shout about how it was so perfect for its length/form. I now need to go back and read the other two books because I so loved the insight into the characters from those stories and just want to organize all that information into a neat little puzzle. Is there a Mkalis wiki yet?

Always like to visit this world, and this was an interesting little novella. I wish this had been fleshed out into a longer book, as it felt like there was more that could have been explored with the story.
