Gnomes! Gnomes are fun. I might have read that one before in an anthology but it made a lot more sense having read book one in the series before.

Every now and then I get lucky. Just when I thought I had read and/or listened to all the Iron Druid tales, I come across a new one. New to me, anyway. Thoroughly njoyed this short tale.

The Iron Druid (Atticus) helps a clan on gnomes regain something they lost. I feel that now that I have started the first book that I appreciate this introduction.

At a shopping mall, Oberon sniffs something not quite right and Atticus realises that Santa's elves are actually gnomes who have been robbed and want to get revenge on the thieves. It isn't really his business but you can't just let bad guys get away with it...

Another amusing short story. Atticus is having to deal with shoppers in the car park thinking he is a naked pervert while Santa's elves give chase with very short legs and unsuitable footwear, leading to quite a few laughs as well as the usual action you expect in these books. A good quick read.

I am not a big fan of short stories, they are just that, too short. But I got a little info about the world. The Tuatha is something I wanna know more about, Atticus seems interesting, and the series seems to have a lot of promise.

So a short little story, with gnomes who want help. I can't say more than that since yes it's really short.

Another good short story. One more and then I can move on to the first "book" in the series.

For a short story it was good. I like the interaction between Oberon and Atticus.

Not sure how I feel about this? Like I love this world that Hearne has created but at the same time I can’t help but think, “what was the point of this story?”
