Emory is a 16 year old girl who’s struggling with a traumatic car crash that she was in. Her brother, Joey, goes to rehab to help with his drug problem. The story is about the ups and downs of recovery, and the ups and downs of being a 16 year old in high school.

I liked this book, for the most part. I had a hard time connecting with any of the characters tho, as this felt very YA, which is obviously not where I’m at in life anymore lol. But it did shed light on a real problem in the world; addiction. And how it not only affects the user but everyone around them as well.

This book helped me understand what grief that i had looked like and gave me a lot if quotes that touch on grief to help me through the process. I loved this book my only big complaint is it took me a few chapters to understand what POV i was reading from.
Im glad the author didn’t have Emory get back with gage after he did what he did.
