The answer to the mystery was pretty clear early on, but it was an enjoyable read none-the-less. However, if you're looking for a clever mystery that it will take you a while to crack, skip over this one.

The book is fine. This is a mystery-driven plot, so no character growth. No summarization of backstories, but the plot is easy to follow. If I had started at the beginning, when Coel was world-building, perhaps I would have a greater appreciation. This book does not inspire me to read from the beginning, and that's ok. This one is for the long-time fans.

I read this while eating lunch at work over the past month or so. That made it hard to keep the story straight. I didn't really follow the plot very well. I kept expecting the white buffalo to be fake.
I dunno. I'm getting tired of the will-they/won't-they dance between Father John and Vickie. Maybe it's time for me to hang this one up....
