This was an interesting book. You get to know Agent Roarke a lot more than you get to explore Cara, but somehow you still kind of root for her. I wish there was more interaction between the two characters.

I will continue the series, curious to see how this develops.

Started before finishing Hemlock Grove, May 23d 2013.
At times a bit slow. Open ending, so I will read the next book in the series, which I already bought.
Unnecessary filler at the end with no less than 5 previews. That disturbed the calculation of remaining time in the book of the Kindle PW.
Generally I am not fond of vigilantes and law enforcement who do nothing against it or support it more or less openly.
As the story goes this not really decided, so I also remain open as to how it will play out.
Recommended.

Overall, entertaining but sometimes predictable. Cara’s story was interesting.

This book had the idea it was going to be interesting but nothing ever really happened. I found it boring. I waited patiently to the very end and ... nothing.

DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Original stars were 2.5 rounded up to 3 stars, adjusted to 2 by rounding down instead after finding out about Sokoloff's threatening and attempting to get her fans to brigade Sarra Cannon (see link).

Sokoloff is now on my Do Not Read/Do Not Buy list, I'm no longer a fan.

Spoiler Alert! This is a mostly readable book but everybody was a bit too perfect and the serial killer is beautiful and actually doing us all a favor by killing the bad guys and the FBI agent can’t help but fall in love with her…

2.5* Unsure about this one. I still can't decide but it has still left me wanting to read the other two books as I need to know the outcome. Maybe it will grown on me reading novel 2.

Not bad for a Kindle freebie.
