This starts off so fantastic. It’s absolutely hilarious and rivals the best of Diary. But Greg is so insufferably mean in this book that it wears you down, and by the end you’re kind of sick of it. It also gets really repetitive. We should have gotten way more about Rowley himself and scenes without Greg.

So, I liked this. I thought it was a pretty decent, quick read. However, I much prefer Diary of a Wimpy Kid to this. I think I'd've also preferred Rowley's perspective from the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books as opposed to this.

I really enjoyed reading a book from Rowley's perspective. I wish it was a little bit more about Rowley and less about Greg. We already knew Greg is a really terrible friend from his own books. I don't know if this will be a series but I will read it if it continues.

In the book Rowley tells us things about Greg which Greg has not told about himself to us. This book is totally different from Greg diary. Rowley tells about thigs like the first sleepover Rowley and Greg had, the time when they both disturbed an ancient burial ground, the time when greg played an enornmous prank on rowley and greg got beaten by a tennis racket. There are many more fun topics...

The quality of wimpy kid series diaries is deteriorating day-by-day. I had thought 'The Meltdown' was the worst, but No. This one is worse than that. Rowley doesn't seem to be as meek as portrayed in this book compared to other wimpy kid series. Additionally I wanted to know something about Rowley's life, with more focus on him and Greg as a side character.
