I really enjoyed this book. The story was quick and captivating and I never found myself bored. I was hoping for a big twist at the end but there wasn’t one. However, the story and characters were so great that it made up for it. I would have liked a little more back story as to why Noelle was so neglectful. She was an incredibly intelligent woman and took such good care of Ellie in her own twisted way, it didn’t make sense to me that she would not take care of Poppy and that she would then just completely abandon Ellie and leave her to die.
