Oralé!
Between the S.A. references, the code-switching and the mariachis, this book makes me want to be a Capuleta!! I can't wait for the next book!

It took me a bit to get into the book but I’m glad I stuck it out. It ended up being a good romantic book full of familiarity surrounding Latinidad, especially on the West Coast. I’m from New York so the Spanglish was a little off for me only because I’m used to the NYC Latino Spanglish (lol if ykyk). All in all, I liked it. I’d recommend it.
Cute quick read!! It’s always a treat to find Mexican-American rep in books!! The romance was sweet and I did enjoy the bilingual dialogue!!

I don't know. The story felt a little flat. I enjoyed parts of it but don't feel compelled to read the second book.

Romeo & Juliet, which was modernized into West Side Story, now transformed further. I'm happy to say if I'd read this Book 1 first, I still would have wanted to read Book 2! Mariana and Angelo were a "nice" pairing (IYKYK) and I loved learning more about a couple mentioned but not really seen together in Kiss Me, Catalina. Solid 4⭐️ romance. Wonderful story telling. Some heat but not smutty.
