We all know of my love for Nazarea Andrews and you might not know of my love for fairy tales so if you take the two and smush them together, whadda get? Happiness. Pure happiness.

Wicked Charming tells the tale of Samul Charming, the heir to the pharmaceutical throne that he wants nothing to do with. His specialty is dominating in his co-owned club and his dream is to collar the perfect sub. So who is to show up, our very own Cinderella but with a dirty twist.

At only a novella length, N does a wonderful job setting up Samul and Celeste's characters. Something about Samul and his longing for the perfect girl, and once he finds her, she runs through his brain non-stop, made me want to just love him. Something else about his naughty behavior made me love him even more. And Celeste is just as adorable as one could be. She intrigues Charming more than any other woman he has ever met but she feels as though she would never be enough for him.

N also perfectly gets us hooked onto the other three gents that co-own the club with Charming: Mal, Beast, and Wolf (yep, more fairy tales!) Seriously, these dudes seem hot! We get enough information about them to make them mysterious and intriguing but not enough to spoil their upcoming stories. N, oh how I hate you and love you (but love you way more than hate :) )

A new series by Nazarea Andrews! Though I am not a fun of the BDSM subgenre this book was better than I expected. You think this is a fairytale retteling but it's not that much. Part of the story is told into the club but the main characters also get to know each other outside of it. They fall in lust and then they fall in love.
We are also get to know the other two of Charm's friends and each one will have his tory to tell!

When I first heard about this new serial, I didn't know anything about it other than it was a retelling, and hello, it's by Nazarea Andrews, gimme gimme!! I've read her retellings before and they are truly fantastic so there was no way I'd go without reading this new series.

Wicked Charming kicks off our first Dirty Happily Ever After at the Kingdom with Charming, a wealthy future CEO and part owner of sex club The Kingdom. What a great twist on a classic this was!!

I loved reading Charming's tale. Loved the Dominant and submissive rolls played out at The Kingdom (who knew fairytales could be so dirty!!) though I think Charming and his Queen didn't always quite play the part as well as Doms and subs usually do in erotic books.

We also get to know Beast and Wolf from the future books in the series! I loved Beasts character and can't wait to see more from him (again, another great spin on a classic) and I don't really have an opinion on Wolf yet (I'm hoping we get to see more of him in book #2). Another intriguing character is Mal. I kept trying to work out his link to a fairytale and now I wonder if he will also get his own book at some point. I definitely want to see more from him.

At only 99c each and a week between books, there's no excuse not to dive into this sexy fairytale by Nazarea Andrews.

Wicked Charming is my first book by Nazarea Andrews. Overall, it was a fun, modern day retelling of Cinderella. Unfortunately, it was not quite what I was expecting. I was a bit confused in the beginning chapters but pushed through to see if it would improve. I’m happy to say that it did.

The characters were very interesting. They all have a past that is catching up to them and they have to deal with it. Their friendships/relationships are challenged along the way. Samul Charming and Celeste have very strong chemistry that brings a whole other level to the story. The BDSM was not over the top, which I was grateful for.

This was a very interesting twist on the classic story but I was a little disappointed. I felt that there were quite a few things that were not wrapped up. I know that there are two more books in this series, focused on different characters in the world, and I hope they can be wrapped up there. However, I’m not confident that they will be.

I am excited to see where the other two books in the series go. We got a glimpse of both Beast and Wolf. They were fun secondary characters that were also set up for some pretty interesting stories of their own. I can’t wait to read them.

Grateful to have received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

When I saw that Nazarea was putting out a series of fairytale retellings with a BDSM twist I was absolutely intrigued. I love retellings and imagining these beloved princes and princesses as Noms and Subs had me eager to get my hands on these stories and my head lost in their world.

Samul Charming is under pressure. He is tapped to take over his father's Fortune 500 company, he is expected to mingle in society, to show his maturity through his romantic attachments, i.e. a serious relationship. Only none of these things are what he wants. Charming has never desired to sit at the helm of his families fortune, in fact he is quite happy and content running The Kingdom, an upscale and highly regarded BDSM club in Atlanta. He's content with his friendships, the strong ties that bind him together with the three other men who also run The Kingdom...although we all know that really one man runs it all, Malachi White and I am ever so curious about him. The one place where Charming isn't content is in his love life. He has the world at his feet: money, power, women...but the one thing he truly wants eludes him, some one to call his.

Celeste is the Cinderella to Samul's Prince Charming. Her life is not hers to live freely since the passing of her mother, father, then step-mother. Her two step-sisters gained everything that should have ever been hers and Cora at least refuses to allow Celeste even a portion of what is rightfully hers. I loved Celeste, she is strong enough to stand up for herself against Samul, giving him what she can but still maintaining her integrity and self. I wish she could have done the same against Cora. I will say that the resolvement of the issues between her and her step sisters in one of the reasons that kept me from giving this a 5 star review. Cora and her sister clearly impact Celeste's life, Cora especially but yet in the end we don't get the same closure between the sisters as we did in the original fairytale. I wanted to see Cora lose it all but instead she seemed to melt into the background once her part was done. I have issues with vengeance and retribution though so that fact might not bother most readers, haha.

What really gets me is learning who these four main characters are. These four men who come from various backgrounds and are each a bit of an enigma, particularly Beast and Mal. Now Mal isn't in this series as getting a story so I am extremely curious to see how his story plays out because clearly as important as he is in this world Nazarea can't just brush him under the rug when we have finished with Beast and Wolf. I most assuredly want more of them all but especially of Mal. I had a little difficulty deciphering the relationship between the four, it isn't explained early on how they all came together in the beginning but towards the end we get a deeper look into how they all came together and how they mesh. They all seem so different and so alpha (even in his own way Beast) so you think that these four men could't possibly work together but they have each found their role and they stick to it making it work. If they didn't stick to their roles there is no way these men could work together in harmony. I love their friendship and how much they care for each other, even when they are angry, and I am looking forward to learning more about them individually and as a unit through each book.

If you are looking for something a bit different that revolves around deep friendships, redemption, love, and some pretty darn steamy and swoon worthy moments definitely give this a go. The series is a group of novellas so these will be quick reads but they have enough depth to make you feel like you're getting a full novel, only you'll find yourself at the end of the book sooner than you want and wishing for more while being content with the ending of the story.

~ HAPPY READING ~

There was a lot about this book that I think was done right. I enjoyed the setting, and my favorite part was probably the relationship between the four friends/club owners. Character interactions in general were well done. But my issues were with character motivations. It just... It didn't feel like their reasons for their actions and decisions really made sense. Or even mattered, for that matter (heh).

That said, I will eagerly be anticipating more of this series. I want to see what happens with the others in their friend group.
