Very good. Passion, grit and honesty in bucket loads from Mr Froome. Pacy and energetic narration of his early life and his meteoric rise made a compelling listen, even for someone with only a lay persons interest in pro cycling.

I don't know how much somebody who is not a fan of Chris Froome would like this book, but I have always admired how well-spoken and humble he comes across in a sport that has been dominated by arrogance and dishonesty in the past. I thought this book displayed an awesome story of his atypical path to becoming one of the best cyclists in the world. I especially enjoyed the play-by-play retakes of his grand tour participations (I basically disappear during the month of July in general anyway), but I can easily imagine someone who is not a professional cycling fan not particularly enjoying them. I would really be interested in a sequel going through some of his later wins in similar detail (especially the 2018 Giro), but maybe we should wait until he retires in order to get them all!

What Froomey has achieved is phenomenal, from the having to pave his own path in Kenya and South Africa with no support from his national federation, to becoming one of the greatest athletes of the world's most difficult endurance sport. Not to mention his fight to clean up cycling. A must read for any true cycling fan.

A very insightful and interesting read from the 2013 (and I'm sure 2014) winner of the TDF. From his childhood in Kenya to his Tour De France win in 2013, to his up and down relationship with Sir Bradley Wiggins, this book was riveting from end to end. Some very useful tips for us cyclists thrown in as well! Loved it.

A great insight into Chris Froome.
I really enjoyed getting to know the man behind the legend that is Chris Froome, his humble beginnings and life in Africa to becoming a winner of the Tour de France. So much has happened since 2013, that I hope he one day writes part 2.

Typically when I read cycling autobiographies I find myself wanting the childhood description to be brief so I can get to the cycling. This was not the case with The Climb, I was interested and found Chris description of his childhood absolutely fascinating. I really enjoyed the whole book and felt Chris to be honest and sincere. I would love him to write more because I enjoyed his style and I look forward to following his racing journey over the next few years.
