I was excited to read this book since I love books by this author. As soon as I started reading it, I was even move excited to it when I realized it had some of the same characters from "What Happens in Venice" from the Timeless Romance Anthology: European Collection. I was quickly drawn into the story. I loved the characters, and enjoyed seeing the friendship and romance develop. The story definitely took some turns I did not expect. This was a fabulous story. I will definitely want to reread this story, but for now I am going to go reread "What Happens in Venice."

Such a great book! This is a novella, but it doesn't feel like one. It felt very complete. I love the two main characters--they're such great people! They're thrown together by happenstance and a few misguided fellows, but they make such a great match. I was drawn in and didn't want to stop reading it. Great story, well written, wonderful characters, romantic and fun. I definitely recommend it to everyone!

I'm excited that there are now Timeless Romance Singles! These shorter, sweet (and clean!) stories are among my favorites. This story had a minor connection to an earlier story in the Timeless Romance European Collection and it was fun to revisit a couple of those characters briefly. I found it interesting that the main character was a pugilist (boxer) as that's not something that comes up much in stories I've read set in this time period. The situation the characters found themselves in on the ship voyage was also interesting and I was intrigued to see how it would all play out in the end.

This was a great short stand-alone novella, the first in a new series from the Timeless Romance anthologies. Instead of an anthology with 6 short stories, this series will include a single novella at a time. This was a fun, entertaining adventure with well-developed characters and a plot that moved along at a swift pace with a few little twists. I admit I did struggle with the feasibility of the sham wedding, but I still enjoyed the story. It kept me engaged, laughing, and wanting to know more about the characters. There was lots of interactions going on and the story covered a wide area -- from Valentine arriving in Venice and her time there to her crossing to Egypt and then her time there as well. Overall, a very entertaining story and, again, a great start to this new series! I look forward to reading more as this series is released!

Fast-paced, slightly predictable, but enjoyable.

This is a fun short story about a young woman who wants to find adventure on a trip to Egypt but finds romance as well. Just developed enough that the romance is believable. With a little bit of adventure in the form of chasing and fighting at the end. Short story, but worth the time it takes to read it.
