This book was undoubtedly one of the most interesting books I have read for a literature course so far. Adapting Bertha's history as Rhys did was wonderful and interesting. It was a bit disconnected at times, but given the main character, it definitely makes sense.

Boring. There is sometimes about the writing style. It feels like a lot of missing from the narrative and a lot is filled in based on what I read ABOUT the book before.

It was a good book, in some places it was actually very moving, but I think I might have enjoyed it more if I read Jane Eyre.
