One simple idea, one slim novella. If you are a good demon-fighter, you aren't likely to be a nice person. And the Right Thing To Do isn't always clear.

honestly struggle with short stories sometimes, but this is fun little treat. made me genuinely laugh out loud at the end.

It feels good to finish a book in two hours. The narrator's voice is witty and sarcastic without becoming grating and his outlook on the world and on himself reminds me a lot of No Longer Human (maybe because I just read that). Everything is perfectly proportioned: the references, the characterization, the world building, the jokes. It's a fun, easy read.

Meh. A nice short story, but not much substance. The ideas were interesting enough, though nothing else about it stood out in terms of characters, plot, pacing, etc. Would have enjoyed seeing this a little more fleshed out.
