This reminded me (loosely) of Percy Jackson and the hunger games and i freaking loved every second of it! I’ve never read a scifi before but i think I’ll be reading many after this!!

This was a great read. One of my first Sifi type reads. It was a somewhat slow paced book at times. But it held my attention to get through in a few days. The narrator for this was one of my top 5 I have heard thus far. I will definitely be looking for more he has done. 
The story and plot in general was well done. I am looking forward to the following books in this series.
