This was a very well done overview of the World Trade Center for kids. I actually learned things I didn't know about the acquisition of land and building of the towers. It covers a greater span of history than just the events that took place on September 11th, but it does a very graceful and respectful way of highlighting the events of that day and the memorial that stands in place of the towers now. I would definitely recommend this to parents whose children don't remember or weren't alive on September 11th, 2001.

This was the last book we read for my children’s literature course, and though it was not a story in the traditional sense, I found myself very intrigued by it.

So much of how kids, as well as people my age, learn about 9/11 is simply about the human losses and tragedy our nation faced on that one day, and rightfully so. However, I knew little to nothing about the actual structures we lost that day. Learning about the Twin Towers, from the dream of them, to the construction, and finally to their demise, was incredibly interesting.

Not only did this book teach me more about the Towers than I had previously known, it also talked about the earlier terrorist attacks and the warnings our country received and disregarded, which I was not really aware of before.

This book gave me a chance to think not only of the lives we lost on 9/11, but also of the feats of engineering that were the Twin Towers.

Offers a good history of the Twin Towers and provides an account of what happened on 9/11. Good for elementary age.

I really enjoyed this one. I learned a lot that I didn't know previously. My 9 and 11 year old kids both read it as well, and liked it.

An interesting history on the Twin Towers. It was interesting to read about thhe different contest on the different designs for the towers and to learn about the first attack on the North Tower in 1993.
