No matter what topic Alice Oseman writes about, I always end up loving it. Her characters are just so lovable and round, you can literally feel how much love was put into them while writing them. Although I can't really relate to the characters, since I never really was a big fangirl, the story told from two perspectives kept me reading to the end, I just couldn't stop and end up loving all these characters.

basically, everyone in this book should love themselves a little more and go to therapy. i went into this with low expectations because of the premise and was positively surprised by the message and execution on fandom culture/stan twitter and making something like a band your entire life. oseman has done it once again

4.7/5 very good!!! I liked the bits about a fandom are and how there always good and bad people in it. And it was a relatable book. Really good.

I am in love with all of Alice Oseman's work, and this did not disappoint. This book described why fandoms form perfectly, encapsulating escaping your reality by obsessing over art/music/shows. It follows Angel as she realizes the reality of her favorite band is far beyond perfect and becomes entwined in their life, helping one of the members through challenging times. It deals with mental health and includes a diverse cast of characters. I would highly recommend this especially if you have enjoyed Alice Oseman's other books.
