Overall I'd say this story is not quite as good as Oliver or Pugs, but it's still a good read for younger kids. Also, it's one of the few sci-fi stories suitable for them.

Great fun and a definite possible guided reading for fluent readers in LKS2 or Y2. Fun, hilarious, deeply imaginative and does not take itself seriously at all. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Didn't enjoy this book as much as Oliver and the Seawigs, but overall it was a solid story filled with excitement.

Wish this book was actually divided into chapters, but it has some truly beautiful language for such a zany book. And the Nameless Horror is so shivery! Well done!

Just not for me, I think. It's a really wacky story about a girl traveling 199 years through space to populate a distant planet (along with a shipful of other humans). I would suggest this to fans of other wacky stories like Ook and Gluk, Spaceheadz, etc.
