(very brief spoilers. not really though)

dan brown whenever robert langdon is in any precarious situation: and then the harvard graduate, thinking of his times at harvard, remembered what he used to do at home (harvard)

in all seriousness — i’m kind of disappointed with this book compared to the da vinci code. starting with a positive note: brown does a good job at keeping the reader in suspense until the very last moment. i was fully immersed in his storytelling and was reading as fast as possible to see what would happen.

it was going well up until kohler and the camerlengo had their conversation, after which it just… devolved. into something. dan brown unfortunately has a tendency to jam as many plot twists as possible into the ending of a book, which ruins the experience considerably — up until that point i considered giving a 4/5 review (yes, even though it’s formulaic and cheesy and full of plot holes. i like easy reads sometimes. sue me) but after finishing it i’m leaning towards more of a 2.5.

I read this after the "DaVinci Code" and liked it better. It didn't seem as contrived as "DC" but still had the fun elements. I wanted to read it over again as soon as I finished.

Usual Dan Brown wonder with impeccable attention to detail. His research on Roman architecture and symbolism blends beautifully with the intriguing mysteries of the Illuminati to make this a very thrilling read.

Ángeles y demonios es una novela que mezcla perfectamente datos reales con la ficción de la historia, hasta el punto donde genuinamente te cuestionas cuánto es verdad y cuánto es ficción. Una maravilla de libro, que atrapa a cualquier lector.
