adventurous slow-paced

I still feel this is one of the best books that Dan Brown has written, I read this after I had read the second book but like I said, I still feel this is the best one.

Would not recommend the abridged version; really makes the flaws stand out

I listened to the audio book version. And I had watched-- and enjoyed-- the movie before reading this.
Trying to get out of a reading slump, I thought I'd try listening to it instead of reading.

I was . . . unimpressed. It was alright but I ended up rolling my eyes at a lot of little things. The way Langdon and Victoria are described, and their interactions, the obvious theatrics of the callalingo, the incompetence of the assassin. And the ending (what the hell?! That alone made it lose a star.)

As an action, thriller, I wasn't holding my breath the entire time. Maybe it's because I knew what was coming, but it didn't grab me. It's not bad but it's not good.
