I'm sorry, but is Vittoria almost the same person as the main girl in [b:Deception Point|976|Deception Point|Dan Brown|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1386924347s/976.jpg|3135896]? I was disappointed, to be honest. I'd heard that Angels and Demons was better than [b:The Da Vinci Code|968|The Da Vinci Code (Robert Langdon, #2)|Dan Brown|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1303252999s/968.jpg|2982101]. As a book, I think both Deception Point and [b:Digital Fortress|11125|Digital Fortress|Dan Brown|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1360095966s/11125.jpg|40195] are better than the "Robert Langdon" books.
After reading this though, I suddenly understand why Daddy wanted to see the Castel Sant' Angelo. Their scurrying around Rome sounded a lot like our trip there, haha.

I honestly went into this pretty blind other than thinking about Nicholas Cage is in the Da Vinci code and I get why people like it. It was so over the top it was absolutely goofy but still a fun and satisfying story. I did not expect it to be scientifically or historically accurate as I doubted the author would go through all the trouble of researching and discovering these little-known ancient secrets and decide to just write a novel about it, so getting mad about that seems silly.
The Arab/Hassassin stuff was pretty unnecessary and gross.
