I am a fan of the Bad Reputation series. So knowing this was written by KB Nelson I was pretty stoked to read this book because she is an exceptional writer. She knows how to plot twist THE plot twist and knows how to make some extremely complex characters. Therefore with that said this was not let down... The blurb alone had me "hook line and SINKER!" and sure enough it was all the way through. Nothing short of excellent! looking forward to the next!

This is an honest review thanks to NetGalley. I wasn't expecting what I got from this book, I wanted to like it and I did for the first couple chapters but it went down hill from there. I just didn't connect to the book itself and felt no connection to the characters either. When I don't connect to characters I can't like the book, for some people this might be a great read but it didn't have enough substance for my tastes.

Well.. from the beginning i must admit i was a little confused.

You start out with Faith on the bus returning to her home town. She's got hardly any money and everyone seems to be mad with her for running away.

I kinda liked Faith, she's misunderstood and just trying to get her life back on track a little.

Noah on the other hand.. i couldn't get a good read on him, i felt like i didn't trust his character very well. He seemed shifty from the beginning.

Overall the book was ok, easily put down but when i did pick it up i read alot.

Faithless is much, much more than the blurb suggests, the characters are incredibly broken, there's some twists that will shock you, and there's a third character that really should be considered a major character and not secondary. There's also a lot of religious talk, some paranormal, and of course, forbidden romance. While I enjoyed the story, some of the turns took it a bit too far for me to stay completely invested in the story of Faith and her return home.

Told from alternating POV's, but mostly Faith's, we jump into the present time as Faith returns home after leaving a bad situation. However, home is much different than what she remembers and everything she expected to return to is different. As she tries to deal with the changes, her ever present feelings for Noah, and helping him face his demons she looks back on the past ten years of her life, from the moment she met Noah, Luke, and their relationship until the day she ran away. I loved the idea of forbidden romance between a stripper and a preacher, however this was much more than romance. I came out of it thinking quite a lot about good versus evil and acceptance. Some of the scenes completely messed with my head, because I didn't expect evil to play such a huge part in this book. On top of that, the romance that is there is very taboo, it's enough to be uncomfortable, but didn't take away from the book for me in the end. The characters are untrustworthy, but I found myself really feeling for Faith and her life's general lack of direction.

I think Faithless is the kind of book you have to read to be able to judge, it's different than I expected it to be, but enjoyable still.

I enjoyed the development and the pacing of the story, but by the end, felt that the characters were half-drawn. Dramatic ending, which I loved!
