WHAT TO EVEN SAY!!!!

cassandra did it again making me love emotionally damaged pretty boys rip💔 but ...... allowing her to do this gave me matthew fairchild and there couldn’t be another character besides will herondale that i love more. matthew is so terribly easy to love. there’s nothing more to say. he’s the golden boy, he’s the caretaker and the lover, the fiend of aestheticism and good fashion.
but here we get to see ( pre: chain of gold )  the tragic root of his alcoholism and his recklessness and the unwavering indifference he seems to intentionally hang off every word he says.
matthew has my whole heart forever and ever and i’m so invested and this short story just solidified my team fairchild agenda even more.
