A book that drew me in with its amazing illustrations on the cover, it is an excellent choice for those who love retellings of fairytale and myths.

I loved these retellings of myth and folklore. This is sophisticated storytelling with depth and complexity, and which centers the experiences and perspectives of the women featured. While not every story hit the center of my heart, the many that did will stay with me forever. Thanks to Sharon Blackie, fox and owls and golden hares - and women of magic and strength - have been populating my imagination and dreams!
