I still can't believe that I initially said no when I was offered arcs for this series. I really thought that this was not gonna be for me, that this series would not be my thing. How incredibly wrong I was! It was love at first sight from the very first book. The characters were so amazingly well written, the emotions were so pure and realistic and the plot was so much focussed on the politics! I was happy I changed my mind. And today it was time to read the final book in the trilogy.

This book starts where the previous book ended and even though it's the last book in the series the authors never hurry things up because they want to get to the finish of the story. Especially the relationship between Luce and Ama is really built up, even though there is a war going on and even though we have seven anxious mates waiting for their girl to return from wherever she is. I love how the authors focussed on the personal growth and the relationship.

I have to admit that those relationships, in the end, make the end of the war a lot easier than it could have been. Of course we saw it coming and it was built up nicely, but still. Luckily I believe the war wasn't the focus of the story. Of course we had some epic descriptions of the battle field, although I think the scenes could have used a little more ugliness, but the most thrilling moments were the ones where our characters were emotionally played and used.

The end of the series is however quite satisfying. I think Ama had an awesome journey. She started as the hybrid princess, ignored by most, downright hatred by others. She ended up being the change this realm so badly needed by reuniting the different houses and the future rulers in the most unique way possible. I really enjoyed watching her fall in love, slowly. I really loved watching her learn to embrace her powers. And I really loved witnessing her well deserved happily ever after.

This is one hell of an ending to one of my most loved series.
Ama has been taken and her guys need to get her back, I loved seeing them come together completely.
This book was outstanding and it gripped me throughout.
I loved the plot and the development of these characters was amazing.
I cant wait to see the spin-offs of this world and what these authors come up with.
