Courtney Saves Christmas was a beautiful story to read to my daughter. Christmas is a magical time and Courtney the penguin is a courageous penguin that travels from the South Pole all the way to the North Pole just to thank Santa for the compass he gave her for Christmas.
I think the book shows tells children true meaning of Christmas, that it is not the receiving of gifts that is important and there is so much more to it.

Well written, fantastic illustrations and we loved it!

I read this book as part of a challenge I joined.

Another charming bird adventure from Emlyn Chand. In this story there is a penguin, which happens to be one of my sons' favorite animal! The story about Courtney the Penguin will teach kids about thankfulness and selflessness. And will also be a treasure to read at Christmas time.

These Bird Brain books are so delightful and would make a wonderful addition to any elementary school library or classroom. Children from Kindergarten through about third grade would really enjoy these tales.

Courtney Saves Christmas is absolutely adorable! It's about a penguin who discovers what Christmas is when she receives a present from Santa. Wanting to thank him for such a great gift, she sets off on a trek to the North Pole to find him. Once there, she discovers that it may be up to her to save Christmas. I really enjoy the Bird Brain books, and so does my 7 month old son. This is the only one I haven't read to him yet, as it's a gift for Christmas. But I know he's going to love hearing about Courtney's adventures and seeing the super cute illustrations. I definitely recommend these books for young kids and parents alike.
