Really funny. Definitely a recommendation if you read the full Kane Chronicles series. It even has a storyline woven into the information. I also learned from it. All the lore of the series were jumbled in my head, now I understand it way better.

I forgot how much I enjoyed Sadie and Carter and their banter.

It’s meant to be a manual, and has info on the gods, with “quirky” notes from Sadie, and little quizzes. Since I’m not the biggest Sadie Kane fan, and because I still know very little of the Egyptian gods, this was difficult to get through. Such a small book, but I set it down many times. Oh of course there’s some Setne drama so I definitely recommend you read Demigods and Magicians first.

Light and funny, some stories were more interesting than the others, I just loved the chapter about Bast and Carter's story about the kandake. It was really nice to immerse myself into this word once again and read more about my favourite characters (Sadie did not disappoint me, though I wish there were more Walt's POV chapters) that explained how his connection to . However, the quizzes that required turning the book upside down over and over again for answers were quite annoying.

This was amazing. From Setne's sub-plot to Sadie's comments trough-out the book. I loved every page of it.
