The good thing for me was that it was an HEA (well HFN) but the roller coaster ride it took to get there left me exhausted.

Tommy and Capri started out as a really cute flirtation. Tommy was a gregarious rocker and Capri was an extremely disciplined college student. It was fun to watch them develop into a more than friends relationship. I expected a much smoother road for Capri and Tommy because they seemed to really be in sync and were so accepting of each other, flaws and all. In my opinion, Tommy and Capri had a stronger bond than her roommate in a committed relationship. It was romantic to me but then sex just unbalanced everything. AT this point, I felt the switch in tone from sweet & innocent-ish to raw & erotic. More sex and drama, and the angst factor shot up as the push and pull of their feelings increased. The author had crafted the friendship so well that I had a hard time accepting the messy relationship. These two couldn't have been more perfect for each other.

Tommy and Capri's journey last over a long period of time (over a decade), really establishing the depth of the characters affection for each other. I just wish their lightbulb moment had happened sooner than later.
