A really interesting set of essays on the future of politics in an age of austerity. Each of the chapters offered some interesting insights but on the whole the book paints a pretty bleak picture of the future. Only one chapter alluded to a heterodox, as opposed to neoclassical approach to viewing the problem, which probably accounts for the very bleak outlook. The only chapter that didn't work for me was the chapter by Offe. The chapter by Mair was insightful and just another reminder of the giant of modern political science that the world has lost.
