“Even in the Future the Story Begins with Once Upon a Time.”
― Marissa Meyer, Cinder

Marissa Meyer has done such an incredible job at retelling the story of Cinderella, adding a huge amount of twists. (Not complaining.)

I absolutely loved the fact that this book was such a quick paced read! Cinder had so much sci-fi, fantasy, superstitions, and surprises in it, it was extremely enjoyable. I HAVE to get my hands on the next book soon. No doubt it'll be another page turner.

This book was soo good!! It was the perfect mix of sci-fi and mystery. Not gonna lie, the first 50 or so pages are so slow, but after that it’s like a whirlwind of new discoveries, questions, and just a little bit of love.

I'm deducting a full star for how unfinished this is at the end. The second book sounds intriguing but worried that this idea isn't going to successfully last over an entires series. We'll see.

Much better than I expected, Cinder's tale is unique and the ending was perfect, though predictable. I can't wait to read Scarlett.

Ever thought sci fi should meet fairy tale? You should! This reconstituted Cinderella story is just the beginning of an amazing series! Put the Lunar Chronicles at the beginning of your reading list!

Though I guessed the big plot twist, it didn't change how absurdly creative and addicting this book was. Love this entire concept, and I'll be writhing around uncomfortably until I get the second book.

It has been a long time since I have stayed up late to finish a book. I really enjoyed this story, and it definitely left me wanting more. The final twist was predictable, but there were plenty of things I didn't see coming. This was a very well-written, futuristic spin on Cinderella.
